Assistant Professor in Legal Psychology
The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) Department of Psychology invites applications for a position of Assistant Professor, tenure-track, in our growing, nationally recognized Legal Psychology program. We welcome applications from scholars whose research is at the intersection of law and psychology, broadly defined. Faculty have established fruitful collaborations with community partners, including multiple criminal and juvenile justice agencies, and UTEP's location provides unique opportunities for research involving immigration and multiculturalism. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications. The anticipated appointment date is fall 2025.
Job Requirements:
A Ph.D. in Psychology or closely related field by the time of appointment; published research; potential to attract external funding; and the ability to teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students. We particularly seek candidates who show the potential to collaborate with existing faculty in the Psychology Department or other departments across UTEP, but promising scholars with research interests in any area of Legal Psychology are encouraged to apply.
