What We Are Looking For

Baylor University is seeking a Pre-Law Program Manager to support the mission and vision of the University under the Office of Undergraduate Success within the Paul L. Foster Success Center. The Pre-Law Program Manager serves in the complex and important process of preparing Baylor undergraduates for entrance to law school, helping students with understanding the legal profession, readying them for the rigors of law school, and assisting with applications to cohort programs and law schools.

A Master's Degree and two years of relevant work experience is required. A Juris Doctor Degree (JD) and five years of experience is preferred.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

What You Will Do
  • Advising
    • Current and prospective Pre-Law students
  • Teaching first-year and upper-level classes (STL 1101 and STL 1102)
    • Helping students to understand the legal profession and preparing them for the law school application
  • Recruiting
    • Networking with alumni, local attorneys, prospective students
    • Promotion work for the Pre-Law Program through social media and events
  • Administration
    • Engage with current students with regular programming, hosting LSAT prep events, serving as faculty sponsor for Pre-Law Society (PLS)
    • Track pre-law student statistics
  • Supervising
    • Supervise law student(s) who work 10 hours a week assisting with advice on readying for law school and preparing applications as well as in choosing majors, minors, programs, clubs, and courses that are best suited to the students' abilities, passions, and vocational goals
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
  • Ability to comply with University policies
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
